Spanish never run out of ideas for making tapas and Deep Fried Green Chili is one of their popular tapas recipe.
Recipes Ingredients:
(Serving: 4~6 people)
- Fresh Chili (fresh; hot): 12 pieces
- Spanish Olive Oil: 9 oz/250 gram
- Sea Salt
Cooking Methods:
- Using large heavy-bottom saucepan, heat 3 inches/7.5 centimeter of Spanish Olive Oil until it reaches 350-375 F (farrenheit)/180-190 C (degree)*.
- Rinse the fresh green chilis and dry them thoroughly with a paper towel.
- Drop them in the hot olive oil for around 15-20 seconds or until they turned bright green and the skins blister.
- Using slotted spoon, remove the green chilis from the hot saucepan and drain well on crumpled paper towels.
- Sprinkle with sea salt and serve immediately.
Cooking Suggestions(*):
- Fry a cube of bread until it turns brown in 30 seconds to test the temperature.
- Deep Fried Green Chili recipe can also be served as tapas.
