Sauteed Garlic Mushrooms recipe is another recipe which brings out the flavor of Spanish tapas. With button mushrooms as its main ingredient, sauteed with garlic and other Spanish ingredients, this Spanish dish has always been on tapas menu.
Recipes Ingredients:
(Servings: 20 doughnuts | Preparation time: 40 minutes | Dough Resting time: 1 hour)
- Button Mushrooms: 450 gram / 1 lb
- Garlic Clove (finely chopped): 2
- Spanish Olive Oil: 5 tablespoons
- Fresh Parsley (finely chopped)
- Crusty Bread (for serving)
- Lemon Wedges (for garnish)
- Pepper (for taste)
- Salt (for taste)
Cooking Methods:
- Brush clean the button mushrooms and trim the stems of the mushrooms.
- Depending on the size of the mushrooms, cut it in half or into quarters.
- Heat the Spanish olive oil in a large, heavy bottom skillet over medium heat.
- Add in the garlic and stir frequently for around 1 minutes or until the garlic turned light brown.
- Add in the mutton mushrooms, turn the heat to high*, stir frequently and saute until the mushrooms have absorbed all the oil in the skillet.
- Reduce the heat to low. When the juices have come out of the mushrooms, increase the heat again, stir frequently and saute for 4 to 5 minutes, until the juices have almost evaporated.
- Squeeze in lemon juice and season with pepper and salt to taste.
- Add in finely chopped fresh parsley, stir and cook for an additional minute.
- Next, transfer the sauteed garlic mushrooms to a warmed serving dishes.
- Garnish with lemon wedges and serve hot or warm. Add in crusty bread with the dish for mopping up the juices.
Cooking Suggestions(*):
- When using high heat, be careful not to overcook the button mushrooms.
