The main ingredients for this Chili Mushrooms tapas recipe are white mushrooms and chili. So, the fresher the chili and mushroom is, the better the Spanish dish is.
Recipes Ingredients:
(Servings: 6~8 people as part of a Spanish tapas meal)
- White Mushrooms (wash clean): 1 kilogram / 2 lb 4 oz
- Fresh Red Chili (seeded and finely chopped): 1
- Garlic Clove (finely chopped): 4
- Olive Oil: 5 tablespoons
- Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon
- Stick Butter: 0.5
- Salt (for taste)
- Pepper (for taste)
- Fresh Parsley Sprigs (for garnish)
Cooking Methods:
- Heat the olive oil with butter in a large heavy bottom skillet*.
- When the butter has melted, reduce the heat to medium-low. Add in the white mushrooms, chili, and garlic and stir frequently for around 5 minutes.
- Add in the lemon juice while you are stirring and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer to warmed serving dishes and garnished with parsley sprigs. Serve immediately.
Cooking Suggestions(*):
- Use medium heat so that the butter and olive oil are not overheated.
