Chili Mushrooms Recipe - Spanish Tapas Recipe

The main ingredients for this Chili Mushrooms tapas recipe are white mushrooms and chili. So, the fresher the chili and mushroom is, the better the Spanish dish is.

Recipes Ingredients:

(Servings: 6~8 people as part of a Spanish tapas meal)


  • White Mushrooms (wash clean): 1 kilogram / 2 lb 4 oz
  • Fresh Red Chili (seeded and finely chopped): 1
  • Garlic Clove (finely chopped): 4
  • Olive Oil: 5 tablespoons
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Stick Butter: 0.5
  • Salt (for taste)
  • Pepper (for taste)
  • Fresh Parsley Sprigs (for garnish)

Cooking Methods:

  1. Heat the olive oil with butter in a large heavy bottom skillet*.
  2. When the butter has melted, reduce the heat to medium-low. Add in the white mushrooms, chili, and garlic and stir frequently for around 5 minutes.
  3. Add in the lemon juice while you are stirring and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Transfer to warmed serving dishes and garnished with parsley sprigs. Serve immediately.

Cooking Suggestions(*):

  1. Use medium heat so that the butter and olive oil are not overheated.
